SMILING I looked at your picture today for a while Can you guess what it did? Of course, it made me smile Your voice is like a hand caressing my face My spirit takes flight all over the place Ours is a bond so strong and sure I truly believe that "no matter what" it will endure So when you think of me, though separated by many miles Take heart my friend, knowing that thoughts of you bring out my smile. Sandi "sandiP" Spruitt (c) spruitt@bellsouth.net ============================================================== TWO-BIT BUZZ Coffee gives me the zing to attack a day filled with boofus and baffles. Love will do that too. But she said she won't fall until Thursday morning. so a caffeine high will have to suffice. Rich and glowing, it makes me goofy and shmeppy. Love will do that too. Waiting for that call, doing a jittery chair swivel and anxious memo-typing as I press teeth marks into the cup lip, wondering if it will work out. A last cold, stale swig leaves it empty as the two-bit buzz wears off. Love will do that too. Kevin Vlope (c) kvolpe@gateway.net ============================================================== I REMEMBER I remember, I remember that night before you left, I remember how I held you in my arms, I remember holding your head close to my chest and near my heart, I remember tears slipping down my face and into your hair, I remember looking into your eyes, I remember the joy in them, I remember the pain in them, I remember my thumb touching the corner of your eye, I remember finding it wet, I remember just how I felt, i remember feeling gratitude for having you, I remember the tears we both shed, I remember.... I remember, I remember early in the morning just before you went away, I remember you walking through the door, sunlight trailing behind you, I remember how you looked at me, I remember those huge sad eyes, I remember them piercing my own, I remember your arms circling me, I remember them crushing me tenderly, I remember my fingers reaching up to your face, I remember them tracing down to your shoulder-blades, I remember how we kissed and then forever held, I remember standing at the iron gate, I remember you smiling sadly, I remember crying as you drove away, I remember... Ghada El Kurd (c) alankash@hotmail.com ============================================================== DIVINE PERFECT LOVE I look at you standing there, arms stretched wide ready to love me, Ready to embrace me in all of my faults, my strengths, my shortcomings, my gifts, my beauty. You stayed pure for me. You gave up everything for me. You went and prepared a place for me. So, it is that I willingly submit to you because you are willing to die for me. Just like Jesus. We are one because you love me as you love yourself. We are one like the Trinity. We will be one nevertheless. We are one in divine perfect love. Monique Fradieu (c) definitivediva@yahoo.com ============================================================== Loving Me for Me Yes, I've just turned Thirty! And I'm proud of Me and what I've achieved. I have beautiful children; all three uniquely made from Me! I have a nice home, dependable car, and a career, you see! Yes, I'm proud of Me and what I've achieved. Some would say: being a good mother to my children; Raising them with good values; and loving them compassionately, Makes Me complete. Some would say: that great performance at the office; coming home to be the teacher; the cook, the housekeeper, the nurse, the entertainer, the disciplinarian, mechanic, chauffeur, referee, handyman, trash-man, mailman, psychoanalyst, mind-reader, and all around problem solver, Should be all I need to be. How wrong could they be? I've discovered Me, Yes the real Me! I've learned that I can be anything and everything that I want Me to be! My Daddy and My Father told Me this; There's nothing standing in front of Me, but Me! This I know now, because God, his Son, and the Holy Spirit Is not only by my side, but inside of Me. Through all of my struggles and strife, I've known that the army of determination, The troops of faith and hope, and The Holy Spirit of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, My Number One Warrior, surrounds Me. They walk with Me and fight with Me in this war of Challenges, pain, and suffering. Together, and together only, on one accord, We rise above defeat, casting down all fears, weaknesses and doubts. However, I must first know and love Who I AM! I must love Me and believe in Me to realize that I must Win this battle and overcome these challenges. Also, I must be willing to meet them and face them head on; With pride, confidence and dignity. Is this inside of Me? How can it be? How can this be when I've occasionally been weary, Weak, sad and in despair? Where was this strength, pride, and unspeakable power? It was there all the time! There, waiting for another tomorrow for Me to look into the mirror and see. Seeking the truth of who I am and what's inside of Me. I've learned that there's more to Me then said previously. There's more to Me than just what people see. I am the multi-faceted, multi-talented, multi-dimensional Me! I love the smell of grass and roses, you see. My heart melts at the sunrise and pounds deeply at the music's melody. Reading inspirational pieces and giving birth to my own poetry soothes Me, While, lying quietly listening to the rain tantalizes all the senses in Me. Romantic, passionate and sensual; Yes, all describes the Woman you see. Laughter, tears, and smiles full of joy, I indulge ever so freely. While strategically planning my milestones in life, I listen for what God has put Me here to be. And as He sketches my life's agenda, with structure and prayer I must proceed. For it is His success that I must achieve. Incorporating balance and focus in a fulfilled life, is what I aspire for Me; Complete with love, romance, fun and a peaceful serenity. For my hair, my skin, my flesh, Thank you Lord, for what you've given Me. For my mind, body, soul and spirit, Thank you Lord, for what you've given Me. For my health, my peace, and my time alone, Thank you Lord, for what you've given Me. For my memories, my experiences, my trials, tribulations and lessons, Thank you Lord, for what you've given Me. For my loved ones, my friends and my enemies too, Thank you Lord, for what you've given Me. For my wisdom, my courage, my faith and belief, Thank you Lord, for what you've given Me. For my strength, perseverance, tenacity and endurance, Thank you Lord, for what you've given Me. For the character of a real Woman, loyal, strong, compassionate and warm, Thank you Lord, for what you've given Me. Indeed, for the elegant Lady that you've raised Me to be. Thank you Lord, for what you've given Me. It has taken Me to see all of what other people see, To see the Me that God has meant for Me to be. Thank you Lord, for what you've given Me. As I love Christ, for my gift of life, I love Me for Me! Renee Davis (c) rendav@rgalex.com
