Will He????
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Will he miss the sunshine in her voice
The way she lights up when she is happy?
Will he miss her cockeyed optimism,
The way she believed fully  in all things?
Simply...the ballast for his cynical ways....
Will he miss her quiet moments
Her soft breathing, her soft sighs?
Will he remember that he wanted to hold her
To keep her safe against the world?
Will he remember to mention he loved her?
Or forget again, as is his want....
Will he wonder at how far they could've gone?
Or that he stumbled on the path?
Will he talk of her as a mistake?
Will he think only of her faults? her failings?
To make her loss lessen in his heart
And to bury what pain he knows at this moment
Will he dream  of her at all anymore
Since she closed the door on her whys
Will he long for her soothing tones
That calmed him in times of doubt
Can he forget how she made him feel and think?
That she might have given him Joy?
Will he notice she is not there anymore?
The void will be filled, to be sure
Was she nothing but a passing electron
Small bits of electricity loosed in the air?
Does he know that she loved him so
Did he know how much she cared?
Can he measure in the future tense
by the scales of love he has unbalanced?
That he threw away his greatest love
Because he could not bring himself to dare
Will he ever understand about the emotions
So rich and full in her soul
That threatened his solid grounds
and caused him to be cautious to a fault
By steering him into the path that divides...
But will he simply lock his breaking heart
Because she is not around
And build the walls to protect himself
From the sad needs and thoughts of longing
Can he turn his back on the recent past
and forget what she taught of love
Does he want her to fade away from memory
Becoming a misty and vaporous interlude?
Is it within his mind to cloud and muddy their times
With negative  thoughts dredged up at will
The few disappointments
and troubled talk
Can it replace all the laughter?
What will he think in the future days...
Or will he think at all???
REUNION
Are you the one                             Am I the ideal
of my dreams?                            that you fantasize?
Are you the one                            I am not the one
who lives in my mind?	                 that you imagine me to be.
I see you and feel you             How is it I can hear your words
as strongly as before.                    but cannot feel you?
And somehow I want you                     Have we been apart
even more.                                     too long?
I hope you'll come to me                    I can't go to you.
so we can learn to be one.            There's only the void I feel.
I've looked for love from many	   I cannot find what I felt in the past.
Perhaps with you my search
is done.                                     Now none of this
                                                seems real.
CLASS REUNION
Still we struggle,
In a world that's,
Much harder,
Than we had thought,
It could be.
We've compromised our dreams,
To pay for diapers,
Or changed so much,
We hardly know ourselves.
Though it hardly seems so,
The years have aged,
The eager young faces,
That were ours.
We have fought and loved,
And believed and not,
And grown wise enough to know,
That there is still a lot to learn.
So we pass on,
The fire of our souls,
Knowing we are strong enough,
To struggle through tomorrow.
A MISSING NEED
Briefly I held it close to my heart
Absorbing the compassion entering into my soul
Quickly the feeling left, taking shredded fragments of esteem
And clogging the veins that once pumped affection
I try to catch the feeling but my attempts come up empty
Now the vacant sensation has unsharpened my spirit.
My lonely presence now stands loose and alone
Unable to capture what it has longed for
Solitude solicit sorrow to fulfill the empty space
But faith keeps despair from claiming broken souls
I glance around; trying to find a suitable substitute
But nothing could compare to what is absent from my heart
Because what I have lost is love
WE PARTED
Years back we parted
And now, we've just started
And soon, once again, we'll be parted
Only to be united
It's going to be hard
But we'll make it through
Time will pass
Years are few
We'll be parted
But by our love
We'll be guided
And forever united
Together we are undivided.
TEARS OF PAIN
Love me once
Love twice
To fade away, To just fade away
Do you see me, as I see you
Just fade away, into another day.
To live my life and not see you
You left me here, with nothing to say.
To take my heart and eat my soul
To live again, will I see that day
To open the door, to let love rush out,
To close the door for pain to stay.
It shows that life tares you apart.
See the sun rise, to watch it fall
Just to know love had to go.
Erase my pain, let go of fear
to see cupid, walk right through my door.
Then it falls right down on me,
I'm blind can't see
My heart and soul can love again.
To fade away, w\nothing to say.
It shows that life tears you apart.
Love me once, Love me twice
To leave me here, w/no serenade.
Why when you think you got love,
It walks away, to leave its trail across your heart.
Is there a destiny, that you can plead,
when all you know of life tears you apart.
It breaks your heart.
