MERRY CHRISTMAS

When friends say that they love you,
You smile and say, "That's sweet."
Then you wait for them to prove it,
with a trinket or a treat.

After listening to them once again,
Tell what you know is just a lie,
You say, "Hey! It's Christmas,
I'll give them one more try."

Once again you hear their, "ranting".
About how, "commercial Christmas is today".
But for the ones they TRULY love,
They don't care HOW much they pay.

So we come to this conclusion,
If these are your friends don't weep,
Just tell them, "Happy Holiday", and
realize child, THEY'RE CHEAP!!!!

STORYTELLERS

Storytellers, that exotic team,
with poetic license to weave a dream.

To make you think, and make you cry,
put an enchanted twist to a beautiful lie.

To make you squirm, or scream, or yell,
with magical stories that they tell.

Poets, authors, and others, that muse.
Dreamweavers on a special cruise.

Conductors on an imagination boat,
	setting ideas and minds afloat.

THE GROOM'S PLEDGE

I'm standing here daydreaming, as the soloist sings.
I'm thinking about so many things.

Am I really ready to settle down,
To be forever to her bound?

I feel a little nervous, as the pianist plays,
Am I ready to honor, her all of my days?

To be her husband, and share her life,
To take her hand, and make her my wife?

Am I really ready to settle down,
To wear the husband and fatherhood crown?

As she comes towards me, my doubts all end,
For today I realize I'm marrying my friend.

PLEDGING MY LOVE

I am marrying the love of my life,
I want to be more than just his wife,
I want to be his partner, his lover and friend,
To love him tirelessly till the end.
I want to give him all of me, body and soul,
To treasure him more than silver and gold.

As I walk across rose petals strewn across the church
floor, I realize I love him, a little bit more.

As I come closer, and hear music play,
I know we will always remember this day.

As I pledge my love and undying devotion. I'm
momentarily distracted, by my guest's commotion.

I'm not frightened or nervous now,
I'm ready to commit, to say each vow,
Because no matter how tough,
planning my wedding has been,
I'm walking toward him, My very best friend.

LIFE AIN'T NOTHING BUT A SERIES OF WORDS

Life ain't nothing
But a series of words
Waiting to jump out
Of a mouth to be heard.

Life ain't nothing
But a series of words
Waiting for something,
Just wasting your time.

Life ain't nothing
But a series of words
Flapping in the wind,
Wading in the streams.

Life ain't nothing
But a dream in a mind,
Life ain't nothing sweet and kind.

Life is a pain,
Yet a joy and a drain.
Life ain't nothing but "crazies"
Trying to be sane.
